This page highlights the procedure for appealing car park fines. From July 2007 Leicestershire County Council, working with all Leicestershire districts, has taken responsibility from the police for enforcement of parking restrictions on public highways and car parks.
Off street parking fines
If you do not follow the rules of the car park you may be fined with a fixed penalty notice. The car park rules are displayed on notice boards within all the controlled car parks. The fixed penalty notices are issued by Civil Enforcement Officers who patrol the car parks from 8:00.a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday to Saturday.
If you receive a fixed penalty notice fine it must be paid within 30 days of the date of issue. If you pay within 14 days of the date of issue the fine is reduced.
