Playing Pitch Strategy Consultation

The Council is currently in the process of reviewing its Playing Pitch Strategy and wants to get the local community involved.

We would be very grateful if you could take the time (approximately 5 to 6 minutes) to complete and submit your views and thoughts via this short Survey for the New Playing Pitch Strategy.

A PDF version of the Survey (as included in the Summer Edition of Letterbox) can also be downloaded below:

Playing Pitch Strategy - Letterbox Survey 2019 (PDF Document, 149.67 Kb)

Having recently adopted the Borough of Oadby and Wigston Local Plan (2011-2031), the Council is seeking to update its existing Playing Pitch Strategy, covering the period up to 2031.

The new Playing Pitch Strategy is seeking to audit the existing supply of outdoor sports pitches and facilities, as well as ascertain the future demand for outdoor sports use, within the Borough of Oadby and Wigston.

We are looking to identify, who is using the Borough’s outdoor sports pitches and sporting facilities to take part in formal sporting activities. We are also very keen to understand more about what local people and local groups are using these facilities for; informally and recreationally.

In addition, the Council is keen to understand more about your experiences and expectations for these outdoor spaces, both now and in the future. Any feedback relating to the above would be greatly appreciated.

Please note: this survey closes on Wednesday, July 31, 2019, at midday.
