Due to forecast poor weather, and unsuitable ground conditions, the decision has been made to cancel Supersonic Boom 2019. Oadby & Wigston Borough Council, and the Oadby & Wigston Youth Council, apologise for any disappointment this may cause.
Supersonic Boom is Back!
South Leicestershire's largest youth festival returns for 2019!
This year's Supersonic Boom will take place on Wednesday, 14 August 2019 on Blaby Road Park, South Wigston. Running from 1pm to 5pm Supersonic Boom will showcase local talent and feature various stalls, attractions, challenges and activities.
The event marks the end of the school summer holiday, making for a fantastic day out for young people, children and families alike, and raises money in support of the Borough's Youth Council.
Why not come along and join in the fun, and raise money for a worthwhile cause.
Accompanying the live entertainment and attractions at Supersonic Boom are, traditionally, a variety of stalls for local businesses, services, charities and community groups and 2019 will be no different.
If you'd like to operate a stall at Supersonic Boom we would like to hear from you. Supersonic Boom is a great means of promoting the services you offer to the Borough or raising the profile of your business; you can even use your stall to host other activities such as a tombola, skill based games or a raffle.
A stall pitch at Supersonic Boom costs between £5.00 - £10.00 to cover the cost of furniture hire and to guarantee your place at the event. With up to 2,000 people expected to attend across the day could you afford to miss out on getting involved?
All interested parties are invited to contact Mark Smith, the Council's Community Safety & Youth Officer, on 0116 257 2675 or via email@example.com for an informal discussion about operating a stall at the event. The Stall Holder Registration Form, and the Site Rules and Procedures, can be found at the foot of this page.
We're looking for entertainment acts from all backgrounds to showcase at the event many of whom will receive billing on the event poster that will be displayed around the Borough, online and Countywide.
If you're a band, a singer, a dance troop, magician, comedian, dog trainer, juggler or a completely off the wall entertainer we would like to hear from you!
All performers suitable for Supersonic Boom are invited to contact Mark Smith, the Council's Community Safety & Youth Officer, on 0116 257 2675 or via firstname.lastname@example.org for an informal discussion about your act and getting involved with entertaining the crowds at the event. The Performer Registration Form can be found at the foot of this page.
