Cherry Street, Wigston:

Leicestershire County Council Highways has agreed to a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order at the above location.

A temporary road closure is required to Cherry Street from its junction with Clarkes Road to its junction with Pullman Road on 18 June 2019 for a period of 5 working days.

The Temporary Traffic Regulation Order will be implemented for public safety for Cadent Gas contractors to carry out emergency gas main repair works.

The proposed alternative diversion route will be signed on-site.

Leicestershire County Council apologises for any inconvenience caused during these works.

Aylestone Lane, Wigston:

Leicestershire County Council Highways has agreed to a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order at the above location. The order includes a temporary prohibition of waiting and loading at any time.

A temporary road closure is required to Aylestone Lane, Wigston between the junction with West Avenue and Leicester Road on 30 June 2019 for a period of 1 Sunday.

The Temporary Traffic Regulation Order will be implemented for public safety for Leicestershire County Council contractors to carry out carriageway maintenance works.

The proposed alternative diversion route will be via:-

B5418, Stonesby Avenue, A563 Attlee Way, Asquith Way, A5199 Welford Road Leicester City; A5199 Leicester Road, A5199 Bull Head Street, Wakes Road, Leicester Road; Wigston and vice versa.

Albion Street, Wigston:

A Temporary Traffic Regulation Order (TTRO) is to be made for the above location.

The purpose of the TTRO is to enable Severn Trent Water contractors to carry out a new water connection for new building plots.

The TTRO will incorporate a temporary road closure, a parking restriction and temporary suspension of a one-way street.

The duration of the restriction is not anticipated to exceed a period of 3 days commencing on the 9 July 2019.

A Press Release will be issued to confirm these details approximately 2 weeks prior to the works commencing.
