Menphys in Wigston has been revealed as the winner of the Oadby & Wigston Borough Council (OWBC) Easter Shop Front Competition.

Urban Tanning in South Wigston and Oadby’s Optivision have also been named as runners up, and the winners for their respective towns.

All three businesses were visited by the Mayor of Oadby & Wigston, Councillor Rosemarie Adams, who presented the teams with their trophies.

Councillor Adams said: “Congratulations to Menphys for their winning display, as well as to Urban Tanning and Optivision.”

“As always it was fantastic to see how many local businesses got involved with our competition and there were some difficult decisions to be made, but these three really stood out for their creativity and originality.

“Thank you to all of our fantastic entrants who helped us to brighten up our town centres and welcome spring to the borough!”

Laura Roberts, Head Of Retail at Menphys said: “We’re very proud of our display and thrilled to have been awarded first place among such strong competition in Wigston and the borough.

“We hope that our window brought a smile to some faces, and I would like to thank the Menphys team for their effort in bringing the display together.”
