Environmental Health

The Environmental Health Team looks after the local environment by enforcing over 100 pieces of legislation. Our small team of Environmental Health Officers and Technical Staff respond to complaints and requests for services as well as carrying out proactive inspections.

We contribute to a thriving local economy by supporting existing and new businesses so they are better able to operate safely. We are at the heart of public health and our Head of Service is the Lead Officer for Oadby and Wigston on the Health and Wellbeing Board.

We are part of a wider Community Team and work closely with our colleagues and Elected Members to improve the health and wellbeing of our residents,visitors and businesses. Our policies are approved by councillors; whose decisions can be influenced through your vote at election time.
