The Government has introduced a range of Covid-19 grants which businesses in Oadby and Wigston may be eligible for.
Below you will find details of the different schemes, eligibility criteria, eligible periods and how to apply.
Your business may qualify for more than one grant so you may need to complete more than one application form or process.
Please read all the information carefully before submitting an application or inquiry.
Since the start of the pandemic, we have been working incredibly hard to ensure Government funding for businesses has reached local companies as quickly and as securely as possible and that is continuing.
Please note: The Government has requested that we carry out pre-payment checks for both the Restart and ARG grant schemes before any payments are made to the business. This may cause delays in the payment process, please be patient. Once your application has been approved and paid, you will be notified via email.
1. Restart Grant
The Restart Grant will support essential and non-essential retail premises with one-off grants of up to £6,000 and also support hospitality, accommodation, leisure, personal care and gym business premises with one-off grants of up to £18,000.
Please note: Applicants must have a valid business rates account.
This is a one off grant scheme commencing from April 1, 2021 until the June 30, 2021.
Applications for this scheme are now open.
Appeals for all Covid-19 business grants
There is no right to appeal, and the decision of the Council is final. As set out in the Business Grant Fund Policy, the Council’s interpretation of the guidance is at its own discretion and it will be the final arbiter of the definitions contained within this policy.
