Please read all the information carefully before submitting an application or inquiry.
Since the start of the pandemic, we have been working incredibly hard to ensure Government funding for businesses has reached local companies as quickly and as securely as possible and that is continuing.
3 March 2021 Update
In the national budget on 3 March, the Chancellor announced a new restart grants scheme from 1 April, replacing the current mandatory national lockdown grants. The grants will be up to £6,000 for non-essential retail businesses and up to £18,000 for hospitality, accommodation, leisure, personal care and gym businesses. We understand that government officials are working through the details and will issue guidance to councils later in March. Information will be updated as more details are received.
1. Restart Grant
The Restart Grant will support non-essential retail premises with one-off grants of up to £6,000 and also support hospitality, accommodation, leisure, personal care and gym business premises with one-off grants of up to £18,000.
Please note: Applicants must have a valid business rates account.
This is a one off grant scheme commencing from April 1, 2021 until the June 30, 2021.
Applications for this scheme are now open.
2. Additional Restrictions Grant (ARG)
This is a discretionary grant scheme for businesses who have been severely financially impacted by the restrictions caused by Covid.
Businesses do NOT need to have a business rates account or have been forced to close to be eligible for this grant.
Local councils have the freedom to determine the eligibility criteria for these grants.
