Electric Vehicle Charging Points - Public consultation

Oadby and Wigston Borough Council would like to hear your views on the provision of electric vehicle charging points throughout the Borough.

Take the survey

The Government plans to stop the sale of all petrol and diesel cars by 2030. To encourage more motorists to switch to electric vehicles, they are offering grants to enable the installation of public charging points for Electric Vehicles [EVs].

Central Government’s drive towards lowering carbon outputs means that the aim of this scheme is to primarily provide greater accessibility to off-road electric vehicle charging points to the Borough’s residents who do not have access to their own off-road driveway or private garage.

Therefore, this Survey will help the Council to establish the suitability and need for off-street charging points across the Borough within its public car parks.

The Survey will run from Midday Monday, 30th November 2020 and the closing date for all responses will be Midday Friday, 8th January 2021.
