Proposed Subject Matter

The Core Strategy Development Plan Document is a strategic document setting out the vision and objectives and spatial planning strategy for the Borough with policies to facilitate sustainable delivery. It identifies the amount of major new development proposed in the Borough up to 2021 and includes a key diagram. The Preferred Options version of the document outlines the preferred approach that has been established following consultation with the local community and key stakeholders.

The draft Core Strategy Preferred Options relate to the whole Borough of Oadby and Wigston.

Consultation Period

The Statutory Consultation Period ran for 6 weeks from Monday, 24th April 2006 to Monday, 5th June 2006.

Please indicate when making representations in respect of the draft Core Strategy Preferred Options Development Plan Document if you would like to be notified when it is submitted to the Secretary of State for independent examination (scheduled for August or September 2006) and of its adoption (scheduled for October 2007), and provide details of the address to which you would like notification to be sent.
