Strategic Housing Land Availability Assessment

This page explains and provides links to the Strategic Housing Land Availability Assessment.

Strategic Housing Land Availability AssessmentThe Strategic Housing Land Availability Assessment (SHLAA) forms a key component of the evidence base for the (new) Local Plan and its production is a requirement of the National Planning Policy Framework. The assessment provides evidence to local authorities when identifying future sources of land for housing.

The Strategic Housing Land Availability Assessment is a technical 'policy off' report that provides background evidence on potential housing land, but is not a decision making document and does not allocate sites for development.
